Refund & Return Policy

At The Sleeping Swallow, we take pride in creating beautiful products for babies, children, and families. Many of our products are personalized, handmade, or made to order. Please review the following policy carefully before placing an order.

Personalized & Custom Items

Due to the custom nature of personalized products, all personalized and made-to-order items are final sale and cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Personalized nursery blankets

  • Custom name blankets

  • Embroidered items

  • Personalized keepsakes

  • Custom nursery décor

  • Any item created using customer-supplied names, dates, initials, wording, or design selections

Personalization Information

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that all personalization details submitted at checkout are accurate.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Names

  • Initials

  • Dates

  • Custom text

  • Color selections

  • Spelling

All personalized items will be produced exactly as entered by the customer at the time of purchase.

Refunds, replacements, or complimentary corrections will not be provided for spelling mistakes, typographical errors, incorrect dates, or other personalization errors submitted by the customer.

If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us immediately. While we will make every effort to accommodate changes before production begins, we cannot guarantee that modifications can be made once an order has entered fulfillment.

Digital Products

All digital products are non-refundable and non-returnable.

Because digital products are delivered electronically and cannot be returned, all digital product sales are final. Once a digital file has been purchased, downloaded, accessed, or delivered, no refunds, exchanges, or cancellations will be provided.

Order Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled before fulfillment or production begins.

Once an order has entered fulfillment, production, processing, packaging, or shipment preparation, it cannot be canceled, modified, or refunded.

Personalized and custom-made items cannot be canceled once production has started.

Damaged or Defective Items

We carefully inspect all products before shipment. However, if your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

To request a replacement, please provide:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photographs of the damaged or defective item

  • Clear photographs of the packaging

Upon verification, we will replace the damaged or defective item at no additional cost.

Claims submitted without sufficient photographic evidence may be denied.

Shipping Delays

Once an order has been shipped and handed over to the carrier, delivery times are outside of our control.

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Postal carriers

  • Customs processing

  • Weather events

  • Transportation disruptions

  • Peak holiday shipping periods

  • Other circumstances beyond our reasonable control

Shipping estimates are provided as guidelines only and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Refunds will not be issued solely due to shipping delays.

Incorrect Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information at checkout.

If an order is returned due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, additional shipping charges may be required before the order can be resent.

Handmade & Personalized Product Variations

Many of our products are handmade, personalized, or produced in small batches.

Minor variations in color, fabric placement, embroidery placement, stitching, printing, texture, sizing, or overall appearance are a natural part of the handmade process and do not constitute defects.

Such variations are not eligible for refunds, returns, or replacements.

Woven Blanket Characteristics

Our woven blankets are created using a traditional artisanal weaving process inspired by vintage textile craftsmanship. This method naturally produces subtle variations from one blanket to another, making each piece unique.

Because of the weaving process, customers may notice:

  • Slight variations in color and tone

  • Differences in thread placement and texture

  • Richer or deeper hues than those shown on screen

  • Minor variations in the overall appearance of the design

These characteristics are normal and are considered part of the blanket's handmade charm. As a result, such variations do not qualify as defects and are not eligible for refunds, returns, or replacements.

However, significant discoloration, major weaving defects, manufacturing errors, or substantial deviations from the intended design are not considered normal. If you believe your blanket has a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and provide clear photographs so that we may review the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement.

Lost or Stolen Packages

Once tracking indicates that a package has been delivered, we are not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, misplaced, or delivered to an unsecured location.

Customers are encouraged to contact the shipping carrier directly for assistance.
